Unbearably light remains by Shirley Kuo

unbearably light remains

the struggle to

reclaim

the stars has left me stitching

back together the seams

of my skin

strangers

inspiring envy with cigarette

ash painted on their

lips

resplendent jewels adorned the

crest of the

moon once;

skeletal shavings

are all that are left.
