Faith by Hailey Katz

It was hidden…

Inside a box,

Within a box,

Enclosed by a box.

It was locked in a drawer,

Inside the cupboard,

Above my closet.

No one could touch it,

Harm it,

Or steal it.

Until I took it out…

I thought I found the key

To my indestructible lock,

So maybe I will take a chance?

I thought I found

An anomaly,

In this deceitful world.

I was wrong,

It was touched,

Stolen then broken.

I thought there were

Many shades,

Between black and white.

But I have learned…

The grays,

Just an infamous myth,

To comfort the dreamers.

I took a chance,

I learned my lesson,

I put it back.

It will remain hidden.
