A Hymn to a Cash Register by Will Jones

Decimalisation made me obsolete
Left to rot for the sin of indifference
Mechanism replaced with technology

The disease of time took root in me
Slowly killing from inside
Rust, fatigue and decay
All plague my mechanical mind

They all now call me retro
Cool and hip and rad
But life was not kind to me
So I ended up as scrap

So budding collectors
Hear my story well
The present is a gift
So save the past
