Team Cuckoo

Anna Disley is the New Writing North’s Programme Director. She oversees the whole programme and is constantly hatching innovative new Cuckoo plans (and finding the money to do it!). She is currently obsessed with The Story of the Lost Child by Elena Ferrante. And besides reading books she likes days out, buying clothes, going to the theatre, drinking wine and eating crisps.

Lizzie Nixon is New Writing North’s Participation Manager, working on projects that get young people and communities involved with writing. The last book she read was Confessions of a Failed Southern Lady by Florence King. She considers herself a houmous connoisseur and likes her cat, stationery and the seaside.

Her email address is lizzie@newwritingnorth.com

Rachael Walsh is New Writing North’s Young People’s Programme Manager while Laura is on maternity leave, so you can contact her with any burning questions you have about Cuckoo over the next few months. The last book she read was Black Eyed Susans by Julia Heaberlin and she likes the theatre, writing and eating lots of food.

Her email address is rachael@newwritingnorth.com.
